“Made in the USA.” Made means made.

Recently, I was reviewing a new company’s website and came across an interesting phrase: “Internet Made in New York City.” It is a project of the NY Tech Meetup of companies / projects with over 10,000 visitors on their website – that are “mostly coded in NYC.” There’s almost a 100 companies on this list so far. It’s interesting and worth checking out.

Here is an excerpt of what they mean by “Made”.

Tech is coded, so made means made. Made doesn’t mean funded or managed. Like a shirt that’s designed/licensed/funded in USA, and made in China: It’s Made in China, not Made in USA. Made means made.

No fluff. Pretty darn clear and unambiguous. Refreshing. Isn’t it? Thoughts?
